Seafoam is a fuel additive which has several uses. Its primary purpose is to clean the fuel system of varnish and fuel deposits. It also cleans carbon from your combustion chamber to help reduce emissions and allow your vehicle to run better. You can also run it in your engine oil to remove sludge deposits.
How much seafoam should I use?
For routine fuel system (gas tank to engine) maintenance, one can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment treats up to 16 gallons of gas or diesel fuel. When greater cleaning is needed, add more Sea Foam – the more you add to fuel, the better it cleans! When stabilizing fuel for storage, use 1 (one) ounce per gallon of fuel.
How does seafoam work in oil?
Add 1 ounce to 1.5 ounces of Sea Foam Motor Treatment per oil quart for all 4-cycle gasoline and diesel engines. When ready, remove oil filler cap and simply pour the recommended amount of Sea Foam Motor Treatment directly into the engine crankcase. Use a funnel if needed.
